Extra information:
Spotted a couple of margin cruisers on my arrival and put two baits in close. With nothing happening after 2hrs I had a quick look upstream and found a margin spot that looked like it had been torn to pieces, very cloudy water in an otherwise gin-clear stretch. As I got closer I saw a good Common drift over the spot. I retreated slowly and came back with a rod and net. Waiting for the fish to leave the area I lowered the rig in and slackened off, before hiding behind a bush. 5 minutes later bobbin hit the blank with a crack, and after a savage battle in and out of the weed she was mine. My 4th and best of the season from the river so far, and the first one to be caught on a bottom bait. Get on the Club!
