River still not quite feeling right for bait so went stalking for surface opportunities. After a small common fairly early on it took a few more miles of walking before the bigger one was found. Once he caught the scent of the bait he nailed it straight away. Great fight, and lovely to watch every twist and turn close up in the clear water.
