Ignace Lands The Half Lin

Team member Ignace de Roeck and Solar Tackle fieldtester Bart Machielson have just returned from a week long session in Peg 5 at the famous Rainbow lake.
Fishing was hard across the entire100-acre+ lake, despite there being plenty of fish showing in their swim, but Ignace and Bart worked hard to tempt some impressive fish.
 
Ignace explains: “In the first two days we only landed two fish, a 33lb mirror for me and a 35lb common for Bart. Given how hard the lake had been fishing, we were really please to be off the mark.
“In the space of just 6 hours on the Tuesday we had 4 takes. The biggest for Bart was a 45lb+ mirror, and I had the honour of landing one of the lake’s sought-after residents, the Half Lin, which weighed 59lb+, which smashed my PB.
All of the fish fell to a snowman presentation with Dairy Cream or Quench pop-ups and Club Mix or Red Herring bottom baits. We fished over a bed of Club Mix and Red Herring freebies too.
